(Stress fracture/broken jaw break)

Dec 6: Gar Williams 1/2 marathon

February 14, 2009: Myrtle Beach marathon? (goal: 3:40!!!)

Finish a 1/2 Ironman before I'm 40 years old

Just another single 30-year old Argentine girl living the American dream in Washington DC and trying to run faster. Graduated from Southern Utah University in 2003, then moved to DC. I have a full-time job as research economist for an association in the transportation industry and I'm attempting to get my Master's degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins, part-time, while keeping my sanity!

60 min. of run/walk, slow. Went after work to Montrose/Rock Creek park, it was a bit dark but not too bad. Felt pretty good, just a few aches and pains.

Yea! I am so happy for you that you are running again, Lucia! You've handled this whole process with style, I think.

From your post the other day... I love fall, too. Must be nice to be where you can actually see the colors change. :) Here in Arizona, the only real change is that the bermuda grass dies and goes yellow. But at least it's not so stinkin' hot!

Great job!!! I know you probably just want to jump back in there, but take it nice and slow. Look at me, I think I am a doctor! But, I bet it is tough to pace yourself, although you are smart about listening to your body so I am sure you are doing great!

Here is to many more running days for you. What did you decided to do for your first race? One in January?
