Biked to work and will bike back home after work. Ran about 4.5 miles during lunchtime with Frank, a fast boy who just ran 3:13 at the San Antonio marathon and was kind enough to run with me to give me some advice. He agreed that I don't need to run 50-60 miles a week, so I think, provided my shin allows it, I'm going to attempt a 40-45 mile week, do some interval and hill training, and focus on having a good long run every weekend. Between that and some good cross-training, and after running a decently good time at my last 10k, I should be good to go. I'm planning on running a hilly 1/2 marathon December 6, and if my shin feels alright then, I'll be full speed with the training and sign up for Myrtle Beach.

Keep your fingers crossed for my shin!!! happy running my friends!

Wow, 40 miles seems like a lot to me. I have never hit a week over 31, except for the time I did a marathon. Usually, I'm under 20 a week.
