Hiked the 5.5-mile Little Devil's Stairs loop in Shenandoah National Park with the handsomest, most wonderful hiking mate a girl could ever have: the unstoppable Pepper! Of course, his partner Aaron came with us as well.

Now if you think you've seen a good-looking dog, think again! I can guarantee that you haven't seen anything quite like Pepper. He is not only a looker, but also a great climber. The first 2 miles of the trail were quite steep and we had to climb some pretty difficult rocks!

It was a beautiful day with great company. Now I'm ready for a week of swimming, aqua jogging, and biking. Giddy up!

Ok- Pepper is a dog? and Aaron is his owner? Or is Aaron a dog too? I am very confused! I am glad you had a good hike! Hiking is fun with friends! Hiking with kids, not so much. CArry me! I'm hot. Water? More water? Are we there yet? Cute as anything, just not so much fun on a hike! :D

Sorry to confuse you Marion! :) Yes, Pepper is Aaron's dog, and they're both fabulous hiking buddies. And families hiking together are adorable... when seen from afar of course :)

Ahh ha! Thanks for the clarity! I am pooped out and apparently have some brain issues, probably from hiking with my kids ;)

Nice steep climb for you! How was your foot coming down the trail? Thats when you can feel it the most if its bad. I am in serious mode again-kind of now so look for some serious miles.
