Morning weight: 141 lbs. It seems the posting yesterday and comments from fellow bloggers helped me relax a bit, and last night I was able to stay away from the usual binge, as I will tonight. One day at a time.

Went to bed early last night but could not get to sleep! My mind was racing with weird thoughts... My grandma, who is 92, won't be around much longer, and that's making me a bit sad, even though she's been pretty much checked out from life for the past 20 years, and I feel like I barely know her. She's the last of my grandparents. But my thoughts went from her death to something "worse"... I kept having nightmares awake about my older niece dying... That lead me to not get very much sleep, so I decided not to wake up early and run, but to bike to work instead and try to go at lunch instead. So I ran 6 miles on the C&O Canal. After work did 4 more, slow so I don't get too tired before tomorrow's 10k, around the bridges to Virginia.

After tomorrow's 10k, I'll be at 53 miles for the week, which is right around what everyone suggested I should be doing for a couple of weeks. I don't expect to do too well in tomorrow's race because I have to bike 6 miles uphill to the start line... should be fun though, and it'll give my friend Patrick some confidence to know that he can beat me :)

Good luck in the 10k tomorrow. Which one is it? You are doing so great and sticking to your plan.

Thanks Josse! It's the Caribbean Sounds 10k, a very small race in Rock Creek Park, fundraiser for a disease called Sarcoidosis. Have a great weekend!

Good luck tomorrow! I'll be anxious to read your race report!
