Ran the Caribbean Sounds 10k with my friend Trick.

Basically, we went down, down, down a loooong hill, and then back up, up, up, up the hill, and repeated. Lost the course once, the front runners were not happy about this; there were no markers or anyone showing us the way. Very sad.

I finished in 52:33, 8th woman, and 3rd in my age group (it was a very small race). A bit disappointing, but considering I barely slept last night (firetrucks, police cars, and ambulances were going crazy in my neighborhood), that the course was really tough, and that I biked 6 miles to the start line, it wasn't so bad. I beat my friend Patrick again after all!

After the race I biked home the longer and scenic route for a total of 16 bike miles for the day and 26 for the week.

Great job! It feels good to power through a tough race under not-ideal conditions. Enjoy your nap!!

Great job on the race. Sounds like a very tough course, you should be proud of yourself!

Who sleeps the night before a race?! You did great. A 10K is a hard race. Far to sustain a sprint, too short to find a good rythmn--especially when trying to find the course (I've done that too!). Good job.

10k's are not fun unless they are on a screamin fast course:) Good job! Like Luz said 10k's are tuff don't let them get in your head.

Great job! You need to go in and mark this as a race report so it shows up in that section!

Hey, I dont know anyone by the name of trick. lol I have run races that were unorganized like that. It is the worst feeling when you run off the coarse and realize it. You just want to stop and have a cry. Good job on a tough race.
