Survived my first day at the gym!!! I was in for 1 hour, 45 minutes in the elliptical, 15 minutes the bike. Biked to work and back, and to Rosslyn at lunch, so I got 2 hours of exercise total.

So, now that I have a gym membership, the plan is to do one hour at the gym and one hour at the pool every day, or whenever I can.

Great workout! 2 hours is usually more then I can fit into my schedule, unless I do part in the morning and then more after work. But I usually just work out after work. Good plan though!

You know it wasn't to long ago that I thought people who exercise this much are NUTS! I think I may have been right! :D You are the best injured person I have ever met! (that was a really stupid sentence) You are smokin' this recovery time. How many days left? 26-ish?

From Lucia on Thu, Sep 11, 2008 at 13:36:26

Lori, 2 hours is a "wish"... generally, since I bike-commute, I get at least 50 minutes of exercise "free", instead of sitting on a car/metro, so that's my big advantage. We'll see if I can keep this wish up....

25 days Marion, 25 days!!!

From marion on Thu, Sep 11, 2008 at 13:39:28

You can do it! If i can get 2.5 hours a day, you can get two. Biking to work is BRILLIANT!!! I am glad Sasha suggested biking for me. I have been taking my kids everywhere on the bike with the trailer. I am saving gas and working on my...bum :D have a great day :)

Marion, isn't that bizarre? I remember when the thought of running more than 30 minutes at a time was completely out of my field of vision... I just thought I didn't have what it took. And now look at us!!! We rule! Biking is great - saves gas, I don't get sick so much from riding the metro with people with colds, and I'm exercising! It doesn't get much better than that! My mom used to bike me and my sister to school, it was so fun!
