45 minutes of pool running, couldn't take any more than that... I was able to get my cardio up to 120, I think.... I'm getting a hold of it the more I do it. I tried to do it without the aqua belt once, like Jeff (I think) does it, but man that was just impossible!!! Then I biked to work and a little more, 45 minutes on the bike and it's windy so the workout wasn't too bad... but considering that the past 2 days I've been eating like a pig (my roommate cooked and she had THREE desserts leftover... THREE DESSERTS!!!)... Then this week is restaurant week here in DC - most of the expensive, fancy restaurants in the city have a fixed menu of three courses for $35... so I went with friends last night to Mie N Yu... sooooo good!

As I passed runners on my bike on the way to work this morning I wanted to be them so bad!!! I wanted to scream "I'm one of you! Really, I'm a runner too, don't look at me as if you were better than me!" Hahahah...

A friend is going to hook me up with a free 2-week trial for a gym close to work, so hopefully I'll get my heart rate up on the stationary bike soon...

Also, I signed up to volunteer for one of the Ragnar relay race teams here in DC - it's September 27, from Cumberland to DC, mostly on the C&O Canal, I think. Should be fun!

Happy running!

Great workout! Great eating ;) I sure know how you feel :) GLad pool running isn't killing you yet :) Swimming, any of the strokes, will get your heart rate up through the roof. It's a killer. Man, after watching the 41 year old swimmer, her name escapes me, I think- where did I go wrong with my body? Oh yeah- 6 kids, being overweight for 16 years, no exercise for 16 years, eating EVERYTHING for 16 years. Ive' got 2 years to 41... waht are my chances? Not good, I'd imagine ;)

Marion you are too funny! Yes, I need to pick up a pair of goggles TODAY so I can swim (breast stroke) and make some calls to swim coaches and learn freestyle. Chop chop get to it, you may say... right!

Don't dwell on the past Marion! You are FABULOUS now, and an inspiration to so many of us!!! There's a reason why we are in this world, and that is to make an impact in whatever ways we can. The way you are affecting our lives is just as important as the olympic swimmer's gold medal!

Hang in there. Good for you for volunteering for the Ragnar race, those events could not happen without folks like you. You will like it, it is quite an experience (from every perspective I am sure).

Thanks Jeff - volunteering when you can't run is a must! Should be tons of fun, I'm looking forward to it.

I do love where I am now, I just want MORE, more more more!! Well, LESS less less!! :) I am going to go take a nap, or actually watch more olympics! I need more body image problems! Oh yeah and I'm slow too. Will this vicious cycle ever end? I don't think that is how vicious is spelled?

Wow, are you actually following my 12 step program? I may not be able to make if funny if its so serious. I may have to call on help to finish my 12 steps to recovery program. Jeff I maybe asking you so start thinking and it cant be serious. ok? Its all in fun right Lucia? I guess it has to make sense though. Keep up that pool work soggy bottoms! (thats for my wall-e post)

Volunteering = good. I volunteered at the Ragnar Wasatch Back relay and had a blast. You'll love it. I have a team lined up for this year, actually, but had to bail on it. If someone reads this and wants to be part of a team/take over a team, let me know.
